    The Royal Tiger, on the site of the former 'Plough and Sail' pub on the old A130 between Rettendon and Chelmsford has raised the bar for local Indian and Thai restaurants. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not unduly so, and the service is always professional. The decor is clean and uncluttered and there's plenty of parking. But it's the food that is really memorable, well flavoured, tasty and not excessively spiced, the Royal Tiger is the restaurant that the plethora of local restaurants must aspire. And the Sunday buffet lunch is incredible value, plenty of tasty grub, both Indian and Thai, cooked freshly and brought to your table, this is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
