  • 4 nice little cafe

This is a really nice little cafe on Bells Street in Sawbridgeworth. It is run by a pretty friendly group of people. The cakes are very good and it is a lovely place to go for a pot of tea of coffee. They do most typical cafe type food. They do quite good doorsetp breakfast sandwiches which are always popular!Definitely one of the nicest places in Sawbridgeworth for a bit of morning or afternoon tea, I go whenever I am on Bells Street for whatever reason. Prices are reasonable too for both drinks and food. Enjoy - worth supporting these little places.

  • 5 Angelic atmosphere, delicious cakes!

This small and unusual local run cafe is a real treat, from it's knowingly kitschy decor, to it's delicious menu. It's a family business, and as such is run with much love and devotion. The clientele ranges from very old to young, and the blue rinse brigade love to come in for a real coffee, home-made cake, and perhaps a double entendre. The cafe always has music playing, usually fantastic jazz or lively easy listening, and it makes for a relaxing visit. The walls are decorated with pictures of cherubs, angels and seraphim, which along with the lovely large leaded windows help give a cheery and light atmosphere. The savoury food ranges from fresh home cooked lasagne, chilli, pasta bakes, sandwiches and fried breakfasts, along with genuine Brick lane bagels every day!The sweet treats are just as lovely, with home made date and oat slice, chocolate cakes, and cream buns too!Everything is served quickly with a smile and a wink, and doesn't break the bank either!
