27TH FEBRUARY 2010. On my first time using this ironing Company I mentioned on the phone that I use a cloth to avoid items being left with a 'shine.' The woman who runs the Company - Billy (didn't meet her, a man does the collecting and delivering) told me that as she uses an Industrial Iron it Would Not leave a Shine. I paid the man £14 CASH (no receipt was given to me), and, I was Very pleased with 99% of the ironing, until I found some shine marks on my 2 almost new burgundy double duvet covers. When I rung Billy (they rarely answer) I left several polite messages asking her to call me (I did not mention the marks.) My calls weren't returned - finally, the man answered on Saturday, I asked him if there was "any particular reason why Billy hadn't returned my calls, and does it mean that she doesn't want my custom?" The man said he didn't like how "I" was talking to him and he cut me off. CHARMING! I have the right to want to speak to Billy - she has DAMAGED my duvet covers. I was Actually just going to make her aware of the matter, and ask her to use a cloth next time...... but there obviously will not be a next time. I am appalled with the customer service side of this Company, and intend to take this matter further with an ombudsman. No customer should be treated like that. I am disabled, and need this type of service, but I Don't need to be treated like dirt!
