  Having chosen Saracens at short notice it was nice that they were able to accommodate us for a rather large group, approx 30 people and also offer us our own area. The bar was very busy but rather than complain that it was 'cramped' i think it added to the atmospher. The staff were really friendly and polite and brought our buffet out on time. The food was exceptional and we all had a great night. I even stayed in the hotel afterward and found that the hotel staff were very polite and really helpful. The room was clean and tidy and breakfast, which is included in the room price, was served between 7 and 12 giving us time to eat without rushing and then check out on time. I would definately recommend Saracens, in fact i already have, and have been back serveral times since.

  The Saracens Head has been around in one guise or another for donkey's years. They seem to have a group of interchangeable owners and management! As 'D-Place' it was on Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and didn't show much of an improvement during the course of the show. These day's it doesn't seem much different aside from reverting back to its original name. The food is just OK. Nothing special but not dreadful either. The staff seemed friendly enough, if a little pre-occupied. Could well be in-experience as previous reviewer mentioned. During the summer they have a large area of tables and chairs outside, which is quite nice. Inside is very cramped, especially on the weekends. There seems to be a massive potential here but for whatever reasons, nobody can seem to help realise that potential. Average

  poor service . . . young inexperienced staff . . . food reasonable altho one item missing from order that was charged for and no options for vegetables/salad - got what was given . . . short-changed too
